A Glennon Normal School Historical Mystery Book 6
September 1918. Although the world is at war, Delia Markham is adjusting to her job as a typewriting teacher at the Glennon Normal School in the fall term of 1918. Her new life revolves around teaching future teachers. It isn’t an easy transition from her former assignment as Yeoman (F) in the U. S. Naval Reserve.

A short time into her new tenure at the normal school, Delia has found that she enjoys teaching. Though she is beginning to make friends, it is clear that one aspect of her new life needs a minor adjustment. However, her decision to move out of Hazel’s house has repercussions she didn’t anticipate.

In the meantime, while helping Mena with charity work for the war effort, the two women uncover a complicated plot that may involve a current controversial topic in the news. Some say there are two sides to every story. Delia listens to them both when a cryptic note points to murder.

While the Glennons are still reeling from a recent betrayal, Virginia has made it clear that no one else outside of the family will ever be granted the same proximity. Otis pushes back when Virginia’s anxiety impacts her children.

When Wesley and Otis finally get a solid lead on the man who shot them, they focus all of their attentions to capturing the man. But when someone within the Glennon circle is thrown into harm’s way, Delia, Otis, and Wesley must combine forces with Judson to catch a killer.
