Proposals and Poison -- Fenella Woods is happy to look at apartments with her boyfriend, police inspector Daniel Robinson. He wants to move closer to Fenella and central Douglas, and she’s delighted. While they’re visiting an apartment, however, someone unearths a box labeled “poison” behind an unused wine cellar in the building next door.

Daniel is quick to offer to investigate while Fenella keeps apartment hunting. When she finds the perfect apartment, though, it’s just a little bit outside the inspector’s budget. Before Fenella can try to persuade him to let her help buy the place, however, a skeleton is discovered in the same unused space and Daniel is back on duty.

Before long, the police have a list of men who went missing around the time they believe the body was hidden. Now they simply have to search for the men and try to work out how the body ended up under what had once been a luxury hotel.

Can Fenella help Daniel work out which missing man has been found? Can they discover how the man died and who hid the body? And can they find an apartment that Daniel can afford, or will Fenella persuade the man to let her help him buy the perfect, if slightly too expensive, apartment just a few doors away from her building?

Questions and Quarrels -- Fenella has been living on the Isle of Man for a year and a half. She reckons it’s high time she took a good look at all of the properties that she inherited from her Aunt Mona. After a long day spent driving all over the island, she and her lawyer end their day in the far north of the island. Among other things, Mona owned a building there that had once been used as a candle-manufacturing plant.


After everything that has happened to Fenella since she’s been on the island, she shouldn’t be as surprised as she is to find a skeleton locked in an office inside the building. What’s even more surprising is Mona’s refusal to discuss anything to do with the building or the company that had once used it.


Can Fenella work out what Mona is hiding? Can she discover what actually happened in Bride over twelve years earlier? Will doing those things mean revealing Maxwell Martin’s big secret to the world?


Roses and Revenge -- When Fenella Woods moved to the Isle of Man, one of the things she left behind in Buffalo was her former boyfriend, Jack Dawson. Now Jack is getting married, and he’s invited Fenella to help celebrate his special day. Fenella and the new man in her life, CID inspector Daniel Robinson, decide to make a two-week vacation out of the trip to Buffalo, New York.

Things start to go wrong almost immediately, as the bride’s ex-husband crashes Jack and Linda’s engagement party. When the man is discovered dead in a dumpster outside the hotel where Fenella and Daniel are staying, the pair find themselves caught up in yet another murder investigation.

Can Daniel and Fenella work out who, besides the bride and groom, wanted George Hawkins dead? Can they go sightseeing without bumping into any of the suspects? Can Fenella get through the entire wedding weekend without telling Jack’s mother exactly what she thinks of her? And can she and Daniel solve the murder in time for Jack and Linda to go on their honeymoon?
