(1937)
(A book in the Red Clark series)
A novel by

Red Clark had heard Juilos County was “bad, plumb bad,” so he had come to nose around and get himself a job. Chock-jam-packed full of bad men, this border country was— or so he had heard. He hadn’t seen any that looked bad; plenty that needed haircuts or sobering up, including the potbellied, red-nosed sheriff himself. Disgusted with what he is seeing, he befriends Zee Hill, a journeymen printer who wants the chance to get out a real paper — one that will show various characters of that country in their true colors, and get justice for some of the small cattlemen against the greedy range barons.
