Barbara Andrews wanted a career she could combine with motherhood and fourchildren. She made her first sale to Highlights for Children, when herchildren were in kindergarten. Barbara Andrews is the author of 20 romancenovels under her own name. Her daughter Pam Andrews, whose youngest sonentered kindergarten in the fall, grew up within earshot of her mother'smanual typewriter. Pam majored in journalism in college and later worked asa reporter. Pam married with with Mr. Hanson, a college-professor, and theycreated a family. Barbara teamed up with her daughter after the birth ofPam's first child, Erik. They published their books under the pseudonymsJennifer Drew and Pam Rock. For several years their partnership waslong-distance, fueled by high phone bills! They make writing a lot easierthese days. So does the fact that mom and daughter share digs in WestVirginia, along with Pam's husband and their two sons, Erik and Andrew.
