Winner of the Kiss of Death Award, given by the Romance Writers of America's mystery chapter for the Best Book of Romantic Suspense.

Late one summer night, the bodies of two men who owned an occult bookstore are discovered in the small mountain resort town of Clearwater, NC. Strange symbols have been carved on the victims' faces and chests, and police believe the murders may have been part of a satanic ritual. As fear and suspicion spread through the quiet Bible Belt community, a modern-day witch hunt ensues.

But some people have different ideas. Detective Joe Bob Blankenship thinks a powerful real estate developer with political clout may have a role in the homicides. Taylor Honeycutt, owner of the town's GM dealership, worries that his younger brother Cal may be involved and that Cal's life is in danger, too. He begins his own investigation by hiring astrologer Charlotte McCrae to help him decipher the symbols left on the bodies of the victims. Using astrology, she tracks down the killers, but in the process she risks her own life and Taylor's.

Hidden Agenda is a tale of dark secrets, intrigue, and religious rivalry. It is also the love story of two people caught up in a dangerous quest that forces them to confront frightening truths about their friends, their families, and themselves.
