Blood

(The first book in the Becoming the Vampire Queen series)

What is that old saying? “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”

I think I took it too far.

I got intimately close to the vampire king and then lied to him.

I betrayed him in the worst of ways.

Now I have to work closely with the one person who hates me most of all in order to help save his people.

But he forgets that he lied too, and all’s fair in love and war.

Passion, betrayal, dishonor, love…

I am harboring a dangerous secret from a man who could end me…or melt my heart. He might end up doing both before long.

With our kingdom crumbling under the weight of an insatiable scourge, the Fae High Court thrusts me into the shadows on a treacherous mission. My target? Bartholomew Bellingham, the enigmatic – and irresistible – overlord of the vampires.

He’s keeping something from us. And I’m going to get it out of him, even if it’s the last thing I do.

Except I never expected to be drawn to him like a moth to a raging flame. It sets ablaze a forbidden passion amidst a web of deceit.

Can my Fae light outshine the darkness that lingers within Bartholomew’s heart? Will forgiveness triumph as our worlds teeter on the edge of oblivion?

Or will he shut me out forever?

Quite frankly, I don’t know which I prefer. The only thing I know is that I have an objective to achieve, and I don’t need the vampire king in order to do it. In fact, it would be better if he stayed out of my way.

"Blood" is the first book in a steamy duet. It follows Aurora and Bartholomew and ends on a major cliffhanger! This action-packed duet can be read as a standalone but would be best enjoyed after reading the “Becoming the Demon Queen” trilogy and the “Becoming the Fae Queen” duet. Note that this story is written for mature audiences only.
