They took his son. They took his family. Now Roth is coming to take everything from them.

Roth has a past. He was once married, had kids: Penny and Bobby. Back then he was a in Narcotics, about to get moved to Homicide. There was just one problem. He was too damned good.

That meant he was getting too close to the men running the drugs and the sex slaves at Hunts Point. Men willing to do anything to protect their business from cops like Roth. Even murder.

If he’d been the target that would’ve been OK. But those men wanted to send a message to anyone else wanting to play hero. So they didn’t shoot Roth. They shot his four year-old son, two rounds in the heart while he was holding Roth’s hand.

Roth has never told anyone about his past, not even, Hersch, his friend and partner – not even, Bella, the woman he loves. But now, two years on, his past has come back to haunt him. If he toes the line and does as he’s told, he might get shared custody of his daughter, Penny. Roth wants that more than anything – almost.

But there is something Roth wants.

The men who killed his son are still there, at The Club House on Bryant Avenue. And Roth suspects there may be more to the man who took his wife and his daughter than meets the eye.

Roth does not want justice, he does not intend to toe the line. Roth was revenge. He wants blood.
