USA flag

Elizabeth C. Bunce decided to become a writer at age 15, and since then has never seriously considered any other career path. She studied literature and anthropology in college, where she developed a deep respect for traditional storytelling -- myths, folktales, and legends. These sources continue to influence her work. A native Midwesterner, Elizabeth lives just outside Kansas City with her husband and her dogs, where she is working on her second novel.

The Forgotten Lore (2026)
(Ellen Poe, book 1)
Diana Peterfreund
"A smashing read! Diana Peterfreund knows her Poe, and her love for the subject ripples through every page. Ellen and Gus (and their marvelously maudlin ghost) are a winning team of sleuths, and this smart, fast-paced tale leads readers into an enticing warren of historical mysteries. Sure to delight both the casually Poe-curious and the truly Poe-sessed."

Peaceweaver (2012)
(Coming of the Dragon, book 2)
Rebecca Barnhouse
"Peaceweaver is splendid historical fantasy. Barnhouse's sure-footed prose and intricate world building deftly evoke a time of ancient magics, perilous journeys, and thrilling tales spun by firelight. Highly recommended."
