Looking at her curled up on the floor like this, he thought how out of place she looked. Like a wild flower growing out of concrete, unaware of the inhospitableness of its environment, yet somehow surviving...

Holidaying with her family in the Swiss Alps, Sarah Mox should be enjoying the time with her husband and their seven-year-old daughter. Instead, she finds herself in a battle of survival, becoming the target of professional hitmen when her husband's work as a consultant scientist is called into question.

One of these hitmen is ex-soldier Tom Findon. Contracted to carry out a series of hits for a covert organisation known as Triune, Findon is on his last assignment when he comes face to face with his target's daughter. He soon realises he has a decision to make: does he complete his contract, or listen to his conscience?

Wild Flower is a taut, hard-edged thriller that explores the themes of morality and identity in a story of real heart.

Philip Bentall is the author of one other novel, Stray Dog. His lives in the south-east of England.
