One man. His papers. The team. Nothing else.
Nolan Brice's MACV-SOG team is sent behind enemy lines to take a clerk alive from a remote station and bring out the records he has been keeping. The target is not a commander. That is exactly why he matters. He knows what moved up the trail, what came back down it, and where it stopped along the way.
The station must be left standing. No air strikes. No demolition. No attack that tells the enemy what was taken before Brice's team has hours to get away.
That leaves a harder problem: the prisoner has to walk out under his own power, at a pace no one can know until he is already in their hands. Every restraint that keeps him secure makes movement harder. Every route that helps him move increases the chance he can escape or slow the team.
Bright Light is Book 4 of the MACV-SOG series, a Vietnam War novel of covert capture, intelligence, and a five-man team whose entire escape depends on keeping one prisoner alive, mobile, and able to talk.
Genre: Thriller
