I write thrillers and dark fantasy about ordinary people trapped inside systems built to break them. I'm drawn to the moment a character realizes the thing running their life, an artificial mind, an old house, a family, a village with its own quiet rules, has interests that are not their own. I like loud situations written in quiet prose.

I'm the author of The ORACLE Series, which begins with The Day AI Took Over, the Blackthorn Series, psychological gothic suspense, and the forthcoming Thornhaven Series. I live near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I read too much, sleep too little, and keep writing the next one.
