The Tombstone Conspiracy

(1999)
A novel by

When Confederate officer Brady Brandau returns home at the end of the war, he finds his family estate devastated and his relatives dead or missing. Deciding to continue the war in his own way he heads west, accompanied by a beautiful Confederate spy. The phantom legion that they gather in Arizona Territory cannot even be proven to exist, but their mayhem has a serious impact on the mining community around Tombstone. Tombstone, meanwhile, is torn between Sheriff Johnny Behan, who some say is an ally of the outlaws, and the Earp brothers -- who do their own law enforcement.
