Johnny Destiny has spent long enough lying low in the South of France. Now's his chance to resurface and begin again...

Once a ruthless killer, Destiny seeks his accomplice. Not an easy feat if one doesn't do their homework, but Destiny has, and his ex-accomplice's daughter is none the wiser... What could go wrong? All he had to do was kill off 'Johnny Destiny', and he was home-free to chase his goal...

Dr. Morelle's secretary, Miss Frayle is due to go on holiday. After an episode with Mr. Beaumont, a patient who is convinced he is dying of an asthma attack, Miss Frayle believes Dr. Morelle will cope just fine in her absence. Two weeks away from the hot and noisy London on an idyllic houseboat belonging to Erica Travers' Aunt Edith in Essex seemed perfect.

But the holiday doesn't start off smoothly, and the trend continues as Miss Frayle finds herself unwittingly caught up in Johnny Destiny's plan. The mysterious death of 'Johnny Destiny' on the train sends Dr. Morelle to Essex, where a look-alike is spotted. And soon a serious of sinister events take place, putting Miss Frayle and Erica's lives in danger...
