Cairo, 1942. Rommel is advancing steadily towards the British occupied city but every Allied counter-move is being betrayed by a Nazi spy. Bert Cutler, a police inspector in civilian life, is sent out to track down the traitor - but there is treachery at more than one level in Cairo.
