Market Forces in Gretna Green
(2024)(The seventh book in the Midlife Recorder series)
A novel by Linzi Day
OK, I admit it. I didnt think it through when I kidnapped the king. But it seemed like a good idea at the timeeven Rollo agreed.
Cut me some slack? The idiotic Galician emperors latest act of cowardice coming at the same time as the life changes my best mate was jugglingso badlyhad thrown me off balance.
Ayshas always been my rock. But now I cant be hers because she doesnt need a rockother than to the head. She needs encouragement to make her own changes. Admittedly, AdRians teensy little spell encouraged her more forcefully than I would ever have had the nerve to.
But who would have foreseen that Aysha, Autumn, and Rhiannon would find so much common ground? What use is the McKnight Gift if it doesnt give me a heads-up when I need it?
I was busy dragging the inter-realm trade agreements into the 21st century because Fis efforts were derailed by the damn emperors rudeness and the roadblocks my grandmother dropped into the path of her future happiness.
For the first time, I realised most of my confidence in my new role came from Dola. Now shes not available for a few days, so I have to stand on my own feet and, much more worryingly, make my own coffee.
Welcome to my world. Grab a drinkyoure going to need it.
This ongoing series should be read in order. It begins with book one, Midlife in Gretna Green.
Genre: Fantasy
