Bride of the Dragon Prince
(2026)(The sixth book in the Reimagined Fairy Tales series)
A novel by Megan Van Dyke
A lonely dragon, an unwilling bride, and a curse that may finally be undone.
Headstrong and hardworking Briannis is determined to take the family cheese business to new heights. A little distraction like The Choosing, an event held every five years to select a sacrificial bride for the dragon who guards her village, isn’t going to derail her dreams. That is, until she''s the one chosen.
Zain has watched over a provincial town for generations, waiting in vain to find his fated mate. But time has a way of wearing down truths, and the bride ceremony has become a twisted version of what it was meant to be. Instead of anticipating his brides, Zain dreads them. But the newest woman who arrives at Zain’s cave is unlike his past brides, because for the first time ever, he can speak with her.
Death, Briannis expected. Speaking with a dragon? Now that’s a surprise. And not the only one, because Zain just happens to have a heart of gold hidden underneath his green scales, along with a tragic tale, and a curse that she may finally be able to break.
This retelling of The Frog Prince features a cursed dragon who's secretly a cinnamon roll and a fierce and determined cheesemaking heroine who’s not going to let a little thing like being sacrificed to a dragon thwart her grand plans. Filled with heart, humor, and a healthy dose of spice, this bite-sized magical romance stands alone, and is complete with a happily ever after.
