Baba Lenka

(2020)
A novel by

1970, and Baba Lenka begins in an icy Bavarian village with a highly unorthodox funeral. The deceased is Baba Lenka, great-grandmother to Eva Hart. But a terrible thing happens at the funeral, and from that moment on everything changes for seven year old Eva. The family fly back to Yorkshire but it seems the cold Alpine winds have followed them home...and the ghost of Baba Lenka has followed Eva. This is a story of demonic sorcery and occult practices during the World Wars, the horrors of which are drip-fed into young Eva's mind to devastating effect. Once again, this is absolutely not for the faint of heart. Nightmares pretty much guaranteed...

REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM AMAZON UK
'This novel is surely for those with the strongest hearts and psyche. Well written and composed such as I lived the tale and envisioned the horrors as no other. It is probably the most powerful book of its kind, the message within loud and clear. I have enjoyed every word of it although it has shaken me to the core.'
'Oh my word! Never in a million years did I think I could find another author to rock my world after James Herbert's death, but Sarah you do it with bells on!'
'You will absolutely live Eva's story as you follow her into the darkness. Honestly, wait til you meat Earl Hart - one of the most repulsive characters in modern fiction. This is an author at the height of her powers...'
