Know your enemy…
56 BC
Julius Caesar’s legions have swept through Gaul, leaving death and destruction in their wake.
Now he’s set his sights on a new land-grab opportunity for Rome — Britannia.
But first he will need a fleet to ferry his troops across the narrow sea.
Caesar summons his generals to a small island nearby and, under the pretence of seeking trading opportunities, attempts to win over the Britons’ confidence.
But when a dark act is committed on the island, all trust is shattered.
As Caesar’s methods become increasingly bloodthirsty, will he retain control over his men? Can he claim victory at sea?
Or will his plans for Britannia end in disaster…?
CAESAR’S FOLLY is an action-packed historical military adventure set in Ancient Rome. It is the first book in the Ancient Britannia Military Thrillers series.
‘Set against Caesar’s ruthless conquest of Gaul, the web of treacheries and allegiances is brilliantly portrayed’ — Fiona Forsyth, author of The Publius Ovidius Mysteries
