When I was little, my grandma used to say ‘it’s a rare light that casts no shadow.’ She was right – there is a little bit of darkness in every one of us, and in everything.

 There’s no summer without winter, no Little Red Riding Hood without the big bad wolf, no Andromeda without a sea monster. 

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been fascinated by the dark side. Is it because, although bad things do happen to good people, it’s only in adversity that we see the true resourcefulness and resilience of the human spirit?

 That’s something I enjoy exploring.
