Thomas Hardy's England

This pictorial record combines the text of Thomas Hardy's famous novels with the period photographs of Hardy's friend, Hermann Lea. Although the original plates of Lea's work have been destroyed, the prints themselves have been painstakingly retrieved to form the core of this book.
