Tarnie can't understand why his friend Greg won't speak to him at school. Out of school, the boys get on fine: amongst other things, they both love the 'Ironmaster' comics. But then Tarnie gets ill and nothing seems to make him better. Could something mysterious be making him ill? And is Greg really his friend, or does he have other motives for visiting Tarnie at his house on Clark Street?
