Maurene Goo recommends

Dolly All the Time (2026)
Annabel Monaghan
"I wish I could live in the worlds built by Annabel Monaghan. Dolly All the Time sweeps us away to a charming seaside town for a salt-laced summer with Dolly and Stewart, and you'll never want to leave. A Cinderella tale spun with a lovable and eccentric cast of characters, this book might be my favorite one yet. No one writes modern love stories like Monaghan - with wry humor, warmth, and a deeply romantic soul."

I Wish You Would (2024)
Eva Des Lauriers
"Utterly charming-full of heart-rending first love and self-discoveries that are the trademarks of the best of YA. Des Lauriers's fresh voice is undeniable and makes this debut a standout. Natalia and Ethan will absolutely steal your heart."

Stars and Smoke (2023)
(Stars and Smoke, book 1)
Marie Lu
"Marie Lu has done it again with an unputdownable, gorgeously written spy caper that will have you rooting for the spies to just kiss already."
