The Everborn

(2002)
A novel by

Nicholas Grabowsky's "The Everborn" tells a tale of beings that have "fallen from heaven" and integrated themselves among the human genetic gene pool, fathering themselves from life to life as one of us, not fully understanding until each life's end who exactly they really are.

The story involves Max Polito, a renown ufologist, bent on disclosing to the world the identities of a select group of these beings. His exploits lead him to an "Everborn" reborn into society as a pair of twins, one possessing an eternal soul and one who does not, one predominantly good and the other a vicious serial killer, each one on a personal quest to unlock their ancient inner secrets.

When "Scratch", the evil twin, joins forces with a primordial beast to annihilate the alien race and dominate all of mankind, it is up to Polito and a mysterious "alien grey" known only as "the Watcher" to launch a covert operation to thwart the apocalyptic conflict.
