The Human Interplanetary Federation (HIF) has a vast, technologically advanced military. A big stick to keep the worst of the universe at bay.
Or so its people believe until a civilian mining vessel inadvertently liberates five alien gods from captivity.
The result is not a positive one. Every human in the known universe, as well a couple of nearby alien species, are frozen in time with no apparent way to get them out of it.
Special Operative Cal Kader escapes the effect. He's an anomaly with incredible, innate skills to go alongside his assault rifle.
He's not going to face this situation alone. A handful of other anomalies – each with their own way of handling problems - and a tough cyborg with an attitude are backing him up.
Riding in one of the HIF military's finest spaceships - borrowed for the job - Kader and his companions have to do whatever it takes to return the universe to normal.
They’re about to discover that gods have their own rules. Worst of all - if this mission fails, a whole bunch of people are going to die.
