From the Grave to the Cradle

Beginning with the seemingly motiveless killing of a man without an enemy, Chief Superintendent Stockton eventually finds himself leading an investigation into four murders - although there are only three bodies. When the unconventional head of CID is concerned in an enquiry, events are seldom dull, but, in this affair, his personal involvement is of prime importance. Pat Stockton drinks the evidence and destroys an official document in the quest for the killer.
