Helen's involvement with Blair Calders hadn't got very far - after all, he was married, although he and his wife Wanda were on the verge of splitting up - b ut she was on the verge of committing herself. But instead she found herself virtually the prisoner of another man altogether - the mysterious Magnus - on a remote Scottish island. And Magnus was firmly taking Wanda's side and punishing Helen accordingly. So how on earth had Helen managed to fall in love with Magnus - a man she wasn't sure really existed?
