The Duplicate

(1985)
A novel by

When Tancred framed anybody, he did it in style. He'd got Ben Salman up on a charge that included not only embezzling
$3,000,000 of corporate funds, but murdering the company president as well. Even Salman's own lawyer believed he was
guilty.

Desperate plights inspire desperate remedies-and so Salman got this crazy scientist to produce a duplicate of himself which, unlike his story, would actually stand up in court... and a duplicate who
could take the rap. All went well.for a while, but then things started going very badly indeed. Within a short space of time Tancred was dead, one of the Ben Salmans was on the run and the other was installed as the new president. The trouble was, neither could be sure any more who
was the real Ben Salman... so that was when they decided to kill each other.
