Sherlock Holmes - The Curious Sequel of Our Investigation

(2026)
A collection of stories by

The Great Holmes Tapestry consists of the original sixty Canonical tales, serving as the essential defining structural fibers, and also the later traditional and Canonical adventures that fill all the spaces in between, answering questions and adding nuance and color to present the entire picture of Holmes and Watson's lives. Since 2008, David Marcum has been adding to this Tapestry, having written over 150 new Holmes adventures, and edited over 1,300 of them in dozens of Holmes anthologies - all in the traditional and Canonical manner.

Now, in this brand new collection, he presents twelve new Holmes adventures, never before published . . . .

In "The Solitary Cyclist", Watson uses the phrase ". . . the curious sequel to our investigation . . . ." It was inevitable that, in the thousands of cases successfully handled by Holmes, there would occasionally be some in which the events would continue beyond what Watson initially recorded, or that an individual from a past investigation would turn up as part of a new adventure. In 1928, Watson selected a dozen of these stories for publication, all being connected one way or another to past Canonical tales . . . but that book was never published. Now, after nearly one-hundred years, those twelve narratives can finally be revealed.
