A non fiction book by

In Action!, John Margerison provides an unique account of the navy's involvement in the First World War and describes the invaluable role played by seamen in the face of monumental danger.

From the sick bay to the halls of the court martial to skirmishes at sea, Margerison weaves a narrative that is as vivid in its details as it is compelling in its action.

One hundred years on from the events described, Action! offers a fascinating insight into one of the most formative periods in military naval history.

Prepare to experience hell and high water as you follow the journeys of the men (and women) who risked their lives to protect Brittania's domination of the waves.

John S. Margerison authored several books around the topic of the Royal Navy. Margerison married in 1907 and had three children.
