Doesn't matter that the Deadwood curse is broken. Like a hexed penny, I seem to land on the side of bad luck no matter what I do. When a trio of witches walks into my office, claiming they've been wronged and hire me to recover their missing grimoire, it seems like a straightforward case of lost-and-found.
You'd think I'd know better by now.
It's not like I don't have enough on my plate. I have a vampire habit I can't break. I have a demon who shows up every time I close my eyes. And we're talking NSFW, people! What's a girl to do? Hell if I know. That's why the case is a welcome distraction.
Of course, there is more to this mystery than my would-be clients have shared. Why can't any of them seem to tell me the whole truth? But a girl's gotta eat, so I'll take this case, and find the stupid grimoire.
