While in San Antonio buying cattle, Jubal's new ranching friend overhears a troubling conversation in the saloon. Six killers have been hired to murder Jubal Stone and his family. The rancher and his sons immediately snap into action. Along with the sheriff, they rattle their hocks for Waco to protect Jubal and his family.
Twice in the recent past, Jubal Stone had helped the ranchers. The first time he tracked down the men who were spreading tick fever in their cattle herds. The second time he helped bring to justice a couple of cattle barons who took advantage of the flood along the Guadalupe to steal their cattle. This is one ranching family who feel it’s high time to repay Marshal Stone for the favors.
