On the Kansas plains, a disease is spreading like wildfire. It’s not a sickness that a physician or medicine can abate or cure. It’s a much deeper problem called greed. Land grabbers are burning homesteads and killing settlers across the frontier and there’s been little to no consequences.
But that’s about to change. Eutychus Bly, a Kansas farmer, and a pacifist—until now—has had enough. The governor of Kansas has vowed to rid the plains of land grabbers, and he has asked Eutychus Bly to help him by becoming a special range detective. The problem is, however, Eutychus knows very little about enforcing the law and handling guns.
That’s where Marshal Jubal Stone enters the picture. Governor Hoppe of Kansas requests Stone’s help in training Bly. He wants to send Eutychus to Waco.
