An Indomitable Woman

(2024)
(The seventh book in the Tabitha & Wolf Mystery series)
A novel by

Set in Victorian London, An Indomitable Woman follows Tabitha and Wolf as two investigations draw them into the city’s Jewish neighbourhood, where the dowager countess’s first case as a private inquiry agent may be connected to an assignment from Lord Langley.

When the dowager accepts a commission from Tuchinsky, an East End gangster, she throws herself into the work with characteristic confidence. At the same time, Langley hires Tabitha and Wolf for a case that leads them into the same dangerous world. As the two inquiries begin to overlap, they must determine whether the cases are connected and whether their very different investigative methods can serve the same end.

With Wolf now resigned to investigation as a permanent part of his life and to Tabitha’s place beside him, the greater challenge may be managing the dowager’s bold interference before her meddling places them all in greater danger.

Perfect for readers who enjoy Victorian historical mysteries featuring overlapping investigations, strong-willed characters, and the tension between official influence and underworld connections.
