When wealthy publisher, Jules Dessaintes, is murdered on his yacht, Chief Inspector Daniel Jacquot of the Marseilles Judiciaire has no shortage of suspects.
The owner and editor-in-chief of the gossipy scandal-mag Le Poignard (The Dagger), Dessaintes’ vicious exposés of corrupt politicians, corporate fraudsters, and anyone else with something to hide, mean that a very large number of people will be delighted to hear about his death.
