They Walk in the City

The story is about two young people Rose and Edward, they briefly meet and instantly fall in love, they then spend most of the book looking for each other, the story is mostly told with each succeeding chapter following each of the two in turn. Priestley's views on the world in general are given full vent, the characters are typically well drawn and likeable, very typical Priestley and so very good.
