Elowen Rose

Elowen Rose was born and raised in Cornwall, where she still lives within reach of the sea, the gulls, and at least three excellent places to get a proper cream tea.

She writes cozy mysteries inspired by the harbour villages, old stone cottages, windswept footpaths, and quietly dramatic local histories of the Cornish coast. Like many of her readers, Elowen has a soft spot for handwritten recipes, village gossip, second-hand bookshops, family secrets, and heroines who are clever, kind, and just stubborn enough to ask one more question.

Before turning to fiction, Elowen worked in and around heritage, community history, and local tourism, which gave her a lasting fascination with old buildings and the stories people leave behind in them. She loves mysteries that are atmospheric rather than gruesome, witty without being cruel, and full of characters readers would happily sit beside with a pot of tea.

When she is not writing, Elowen can usually be found walking the South West Coastal Path, browsing antiques she has no room for, baking something that looked easier in the recipe, or making notes about interesting village names, peculiar family legends, and suspiciously well-timed church fêtes.
