The disagreeable Leon Casson, Director of Operations on a huge Shetland oil rig, hadn't wanted Catriona Dunross as his secretary - he would have preferred a man - and she had only taken the job because family commitments had forced her hand; but there they were, stuck with each other. And getting to know him better didn't give her any better an opinion of him! So it was particularly unfortunate that Catriona found herself having to pretend Leon was her fiance - and the whole thing backfired when to her dismay he took her up on it!
