An ancient god needs to tidy up his work force while running a few tests ...

This was the Sea of One Million. Half a millions islands and just as many grottos. At least that's what the proud residents claimed, employing the universal language of marketeers, But yes, there were many, many pieces of land -- flat islands and mountainous islands, plus stone pillars reaching to the habitat's ceiling. And the tropical saltwater between was punctuated with deep holes popular with aquatic species from a multitude of worlds. All in all, a lovely setting for a celebratory cruise, and even better, each island maintained its own laws and porous security systems.

"Something is wrong," the courier said to the angry faces. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," was the easy lie. Both sisters used that word. Then the small sister insisted that their companion join them onboard the rented catamaran.

"Justice" is directly tied to two earlier stories. "The Caldera of Good Fortune," and "Necklace of Memory."
