Ensign Brad Mendoza is in deep trouble. A launched escape pod with the admiral’s prize pooch on board may mean the end of his Navy career before it even starts. So his boss sends him away on a patrol to a distant, supposedly peaceful star system.
But when Brad and his crew arrive, they find the aftermath of a nuclear slaughter and a deserted station sending a repeating distress signal.
