Derek Slaton began writing in high school after being inspired by the George Romero classic, Dawn of the Dead, and his love of zombies has never ended. This love is on display in the Dead America series, which including the four part prequel series Dead Texas, is up to seventeen books in the series as of November 2019. With over a dozen planned released in 2020, this epic zombie story will continue to grow in scale and complexity with no end in sight.
