Has Merrick's beast met his doom?

* * *
Merrick and Kat’s wedding night should be the happiest moment of their lives. Instead, Merrick’s inner beast, Ruin, bursts their tranquility and triggers a chain of terrible events.

Lured to a bizarre little cult/commune called Haven, Ruin succumbs to two imposing beasts that are strikingly identical to him, and are his equal in every way. With Ruin gone, Merrick falls victim to Haven’s mystic cult leader, who the master of the two Ruin-like beasts as well as a much more sinister entity. Something is feeding upon the residents of the commune, and Merrick may be next. Without Ruin, Merrick can do virtually nothing to effect his or the residents’ escape.

To free Merrick, Kat finds unexpected help from two members of the cryptic organization called The Saints, who have been spying on the cult. One of the Saints’ field agents, named Mars, happens to be a ghost. Though Kat doesn’t trust invisible spirits, like it or not, she needs Mars’s skillset.

They soon find that the situation is more twisted and treacherous than they imagined. The ‘children’ of the cultists are not as they seem, and a unique and seemingly indestructible new agent is willing to destroy everyone and everything to get to them. Yet another enigma added to the already warped and tangled mysteries in Haven.

With peril facing them on three fronts, Merrick’s rescue mission evolves into a tempest of chaos and horror, and ignites an evil more powerful and frightening than anything Merrick and Kat have ever encountered. To kill monsters, they’ll need a monster, and if they can’t find a way to revive Ruin, they won’t stand a chance.
