Margaret Scutt was born in 1905 in Weymouth and always lived in Dorset. A third generation teacher she completed her 42 year career in Poole in 1966. An accomplished author, her two historical novels 'I Do But Follow' and 'And Some There Be' were published in 1947 and 1949. Her third novel was not published due to a general downturn in book sales but she continued to write. Margaret died in 1988. This book written and set mid twentieth century, captures the era. Now published it is a fitting memorial to this talented, self-effacing woman.
