The Guardians: A team of talented individuals dedicated to investigating the paranormal and combating it when necessary.

The mansion headquarters of the Guardian team: Each team member has their own private room, complete with en suite. It is managed by a cleaning staff, cooks, grounds keeper, and a butler. The butler and the morning cook both have rooms in the mansion and live there. The rest of the staff lives elsewhere and is not always on site. The two story structure contains a large kitchen, huge dining room, a conference room, and a study, which doubles as a library and is filled with research books. There is also a spacious den where the team sometimes gathers to socialize during their down time. Beneath the ground floor is a full basement. A portion of that space is devoted to a small but well stocked armory. The indoor firing range is great for practicing with pistols, and is soundproofed well enough that the noise never reaches the living quarters. There is also a home movie theater in a portion of the remaining space where the team studies videos related to their missions, or simply watch movies for their entertainment value. The remainder of the basement is devoted to storage areas and a small half bath.

Gargoyle prophecy

When two or more in the nest they lay,
One born black, another bright as day,
One dark as night the tribe will keep,
but not the one the color of sheep.
Send it from your midst you must,
Or else the tribe will turn to dust.

The one who laid the egg, you must,
make queen, in her decisions trust
Yet if she takes this test amiss,
The tribe soon ceases to exist.
Her father rules till he is old,
But daughter’s rule will be more bold.
The tribe will thrive if she is true,
Yet turns to dust if she withdrew.
