My name is Nylah Gilbert, and I thought I was done with ancient artifacts trying to kill me for at least a month. Apparently, I was wrong.

When a Category 5 hurricane suddenly reverses directions and heads straight for the North Carolina coast, I know it’s not just Mother Nature having a bad day. The storm’s moving in perfect patterns, lightning strikes in identical zigzag sequences, and witnesses swear they saw someone playing a massive horn in the hurricane’s eye. Because that’s totally normal weather behavior.

Now I’m tracking down the Storm Caller’s Horn—an ancient Inuit relic that can control weather patterns across entire continents—while trying to hide my Relic Keeper abilities from every supernatural predator on the East Coast. But flying under the magical radar is impossible when I need to recover the horn from the museum curator who stole it while being possessed by the vengeful spirit of a long-dead Inuit shaman. You try negotiating with someone who’s been dead for over a century and is understandably pissed that his people’s sacred artifact was pilfered by some Victorian grave robber.

Oh, and did I mention the icebergs full of frozen corpses that are currently floating toward the Outer Banks? Yeah, I didn’t know that could happen either.

My best friends Kaiya and Aeira are with me, as usual, which means we’ll either save the Eastern seaboard from a magical ice age or die spectacularly trying. My husband Arjun thinks I’m having a midlife crisis, my teenage daughters are stress-baking their way through my ethereal emergencies, and some organization called Northwind Acquisitions really wants to add the Storm Caller’s Horn to their private collection.

The good news? I’ve got seven days to return the horn to the Arctic before ancient weather spirits break free and turn the Atlantic coast into a popsicle.

The bad news? Everything else, obviously.

Time to save the world again. I really need a vacation.
