The PRC (The People's Republic of China) was established in 1949 with the goal of becoming the dominant country by 2049. In 2020, the Director of the MSS (Ministry of State Security) met with the President to discuss a plan to accomplish the goal twenty years ahead of the original goal. The President listened and approved the plan they named "Red Volcano."
The most difficult task in the plan was removing the American Navy from the Pacific. In mid-2024, the commanding Admiral of the PLAN informed the President he had a plan to not only remove the American Navy from the Pacific, but to destroy their warships.
The President listened and nodded his agreement. The PLAN proposed manufacturing thousands of low-cost suicide drones to attack the Americans' ships. The ships would use up all of their defensive missiles, and after losing their bases in the Pacific, they would have to rely on reloading at sea, which was a very timely and dangerous operation.
The Admiral smiled when he explained, "We will attack their ships after they have emptied their vertical launch cells, and we will target their replenishment ships so they will be forced to return to their bases in America. Bases, we will have our submarines mine the approaches to. They will attempt to move their Atlantic fleet to the Pacific, but we control the Panama Canal. While their ships are waiting to enter the Canal, we will use our submarines to attack them.
The commander of the PLA told the President, "Our plan is based on us purchasing the land close to or bordering their bases. The farms will be our forward operating bases from where we will launch hundreds of missiles, destroying their ability to respond. When their new president realized his only option is to use their nuclear weapons, ones we will say we won't first use. Faced with losing millions and all of his cities, he will surrender.
The President told the Central Committee they had invested hundreds of millions to make sure the candidate they backed would win the election in 2028. When asked when he planned on launching the plan, the President smiled, "As he places his hand on the Bible, we will strike. He won't be able to act until he's in Air Force One.
Due to a very small timing error, the PRC started a war with a military that wasn't so easy to trick.
