Damage from a recent battle forces the crew of the Sundancer to land on a planet to make repairs. Systems fail, and control is lost during landing.
Civilization on the planed has devolved into savagery. In the morning hours, a mist rolls in carrying with it fumes that cause hallucinations. At night, hoards of blood drinkers hunt prey.
