The Australian author's account of a murder case in the Outback in 1929, in which the killer used Upfield's method for disposing of a body outlined in The Sands of Windee. The killer had actually been eavesdropping on Upfield & others talking about the best way to efficiently dispose of a corpse in the Outback.
