Aphrodite's Quest

Giles Courtenay is given command if the frigate Aphrodite and sent to join the fleet blockading France, but owing to the actions of a duplitious Admiral at Gibraltar is sent instead to the Indian Ocean, the Admiral making it appear Courtenay had deserted his post in search for prize money. Many adventures await Courtenay and his command both on the way to, and in the Indian Ocean, including the rescue of a high official in the East India Company and his family, and the search for Spanish gold ships. Also, Courtenay falls in love... Once again, plenty of broadside battles, coupled with the cut and thrust of close combat
