With her slave Tak, she journeysfar from the safety of her desert home, over snowcapped mountains, and junglesruled by 'the little people of the forest', leaving word to be delivered to hersisters in hope they will follow.She finds there is more to her chemical make-up thanshe knew when by accident a drop of her blood gives life back to a dying wardog and youth to an old blind man who diligently guards his secret past, butknows her brother's whereabouts.Her sisters fail to join her and she fears their nemesis,the Shuntons, have something to do with it.
