Only slight wear otherwise. // At least two subsequent drafts of this screenplay would be issued prior to the start of filming. In this draft, the principal villain's name is Stavros, which would eventually be changed to Stromberg. Also, Stavros is clearly identified as being a member of S.P.E.C.T.R.E., all reference to which would be dropped by the time filming began. // THE SPY WHO LOVED ME was released by United Artists in 1977. It was directed by Lewis Gilbert and produced by Albert R. Broccoli. The cast included Roger Moore as James Bond, Barbara Bach, Curt Jurgens, Richard Kiel, Caroline Munro, Walter Gotell, Bernard Lee, Lois Maxwell, George Baker, and Desmond Llewellyn. Academy Award nominations: Art Direction / Set Decoration (Ken Adam and Peter Lamont / Hugh Scaife), song ("Nobody Does it Better," music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sagers), and original score (Hamlisch).
